The Role: Our client, KEA Technologies, Inc., is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Electrical Engineer will serve as an individual contributor and subject-matter expert. The Electrical Engineer will serve as an individual contributor and support key design and development efforts across multidisciplinary projects. This role offers the opportunity to develop technical skills, solve challenging problems, and contribute to the development of next-generation technology solutions. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with an interest in innovative R&D and product design, and a desire to grow their technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply core engineering fundamentals and analytical skills to solve technical problems
  • Assist in the design of sensor interfaces and signal-conditioning circuits to meet customer requirements
  • Contribute ideas and support innovation that creates technical and business value
  • Support PCB design activities, including schematic capture and layout (Altium experience a plus), as well as fabrication and assembly coordination
  • Help perform electrical and EMC testing in accordance with SAE, ISO, CE, UL, and related standards; assist with analyzing results and documenting findings
  • Contribute to improving design processes, tools, and engineering best practices
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop effective technical solutions
  • Assist in identifying potential technical risks and support mitigation efforts during development
  • Support prototype builds and early production activities to help maintain design integrity and project schedules
  • Communicate technical information clearly with team members and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 1–3 years of relevant industry experience (internships or co-ops are a plus)
  • Familiarity with sensor interfaces, communication systems, controls, power conditioning, or electrical distribution systems
  • Exposure to PCB design tools (Altium experience preferred), with an understanding of PCB fundamentals such as stack-ups, signal integrity, EMC considerations, and power distribution
  • Strong background in analog, mixed‑signal, and electronic systems development
  • Foundational knowledge of analog, mixed-signal, and electronic systems development
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes for electronic or electromechanical assemblies is a plus
  • Exposure to automotive EMC standards (such as CISPR25, ISO, or SAE) is a plus
  • Experience or coursework involving the design, analysis, or simulation of analog and digital circuits
  • Understanding of hardware development processes, including board bring-up (prototyping, fabrication, assembly, basic soldering)
  • Exposure to embedded software development or system architecture is a plus
  • Familiarity with common hardware communication protocols (CAN, USB, UART, I²C, SPI)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across different stages of development
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Familiarity with document control and revision processes is helpful
  • Experience with programming or engineering tools such as C/C++, MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW preferred
  • Automotive industry experience is a plus

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $100,000. Compensation is based on experience, education, and qualifications.
